Madison, WI – The Madison Capitols, along with the United States Hockey League, have officially released the regular season schedule for the 2018-19 campaign.
The Capitols open their season on the road October 5th and 6th when they travel to Plymouth, MI to take on Team USA for a pair of games. The Caps will return home to Bob Suter’s Capitol Ice Arena on October 12th when they host the Chicago Steel for the season home opener.
October 12th will be the first time this season fans will get to experience all the new renovations happening to the Capitol Ice Arena. Renovations include a 300-person beer garden above the mezzanine that will look down upon the rink, seven brand new luxury suites, and double the capacity with new seating.
January 5th is a special night as the Capitols host their 5th annual “Be the Miracle” night, featuring a soon-to-be-announced bobblehead giveaway. Be The Miracle night is a tribute to Bob Suter and all that he has done for the Capitols organization.
The Capitols take on their rivals, the Green Bay Gamblers, a total of eight times this season, beginning at home on November 9th. Madison will end its season with a home-and-home series with the Gamblers on April 12 in Green Bay and April 13th back at the Capitol Ice Arena. The series winner will get to take control of the coveted Cheese Cup.
A promotional schedule will be released at a date to be named later, as well as the USHL Fall Classic schedule.
