LATKOCZY EARNS 3RD GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK AWARD AFTER SEMIFINALS PERFORMANCE

Madison Capitols netminder Simon Latkoczy was named the USHL's Goaltender of the Week for the 3rd time this season after backstopping the Caps to a semifinals series victory over the defending Clark Cup Champion, Chicago Steel.

Latkoczy went 2-1 in the best-of-three series against the team he won it all with last season with a 2.01 GAA and .930 save percentage. The Slovakian goaltender did not allow more than two goals all series long. The Omaha commit is 4-1-0 in the 2022 Clark Cup playoffs bringing his career record to 11-2-0 in the post season with a 1.91 GAA and 0.931 SV%.

Latkoczy went a career-best 23-16-2 in the regular season. His combined 27 regular season and post season victories ranks first in Madison Capitols franchise history. The Madison netminder secured the weekly USHL honor in Week 3 and Week 29 during the regular season.

Latkoczy and the Capitols will make their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance in franchise history tomorrow night when they take on the Muskegon Lumberjacks in a best-of-5 series.
