The Madison Capitols will be well represented at this year's 2022 BioSteel All-American game. The Caps trio of Quinn Finley (University of Wisconsin) and Tyler Haskins (University of Michigan) along with defensemen Luke Mittelstadt (University of Minnesota) will be heading to Plymouth, Michigan for the January 17 game at USA Hockey Arena.
Madison is among the tops in the league in terms of representation. Only Team USA with 20, Chicago and Dubuque with four will have more representatives than the Capitols. This marks the first time in organization history that the Caps will have more than one player participating.
“I am very proud and excited for Tyler, Luke, and Quinn. Their daily focus and commitment to being the best players they can be, combined with their talent has earned them this opportunity. This is also a great honor for our organization in sending three participants to Plymouth representing the Madison Capitols.”
Finley and Mittelstadt will be paired up on Team White while Haskins will be the lone Capitol on Team Blue. In 26 games played, Mittelstadt has tallied eight goals and 12 assists. He currently ranks sixth among USHL blueliners in points and third in goals. Haskins and Finley have both missed an extended period of time due to injuries but pieced together nice seasons before missing time. In 13 games, Finley scored 10 points (five assists, five goals). Haskins has netted five goals and dished out 10 helpers in 16 games this season.
