Middleton, WI - Every season, the Capitols wear specialty pink jerseys for the annual Pink in the Rink game in support of various nonprofit organizations. For the first time ever, the Capitols will team up with the American Cancer Society for the game and the Real Men Wear Pink campaign.

Throughout the entire month of the game (date TBD), representatives of the Capitols organization will be spreading the word and trying to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

New head coach Tom Upton will be sporting pink to raise awareness, as well as five notable Capitols players who have created the team, Five for Fighting Cancer. The team consists of returning veterans Ryan Kirwan, Reid Pabich, and Christian Stoever. They will be joined by newcomers, and USHL veterans, Daniyal Dzhaniyev and Owen Gallatin.

As part of the campaign, there will be a skate-a-thon as well that will allow members of the community to participate and give back as well.

The players will be wearing specialty pink jerseys for the game which will be auctioned off after. All proceeds will be benefitting the American Cancer Society.
